Later las ik dat Joe het zelf ook niet goed vond, overgeproduceerd, sommige liedjes zin voor zin opgenomen en soms moesten er een paar woordjes over. Dat werkt niet en al helemaal niet bij Joe, die moet z'n gang gaan anders heb je geen flow. Op wikipedia las ik net het volgende: Where Civilized Man, Cocker's previous album, had two producers, Cocker had five. Also, the recording sessions took place in several studios in London, Memphis, Los Angeles and New York.
